New converter creates an effective cushioning pad

On May 22, 2008 Ranpak Corp. introduced the newest addition to its line of patented packaging products - the PadPak LC light cushioning system. At a feed rate of 4 ft./sec., PadPak LC converts 1-ply, fanfold kraft paper into lightweight cushions that protect products shipped in boxes. PadPak LC's patented fanfold technology and splicing tape allow for stacking multiple bundles for increased efficiency. PadPak LC paper is available in either 45 lb. or 55 lb. basis weights depending on the application required. The unique & adaptable converter design & its 5 different modes of operation allow the PadPak LC converter to be used in batch mode or for in-line, just-in-time pad production depending on your packaging needs. PadPak LC converters are also easily integrated into any existing packaging operation. Finally, PadPak LC is environmentally friendly because it uses paper that's 100% recyclable, renewable and reusable. It can be recycled with your other cardboard or paper, and leaves a much smaller environmental footprint than foam, airbags, plastics or other packaging materials.
